Syrian Army Continues to Strike Militant Positions in Damascus Province


"The Syrian soldiers struck defense lines of al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front and advanced against them on the axis of Aerospace Organization and the Faculty of Agriculture in Marj region in Eastern Ghouta, which claimed the lives of several terrorists," the army said.
"The army troops also seized several residential building blocks that were used by the Nusra militants in the region," the army added.
On Sunday, the Syrian army repelled Jeish al-Islam terrorist group's assaults in Eastern Ghouta and forced them to retreat from the battlefield after leaving behind several dead or wounded members.
The Syrian army troops thwarted the attempts of Jeish al-Islam in Tal Kurdi to infiltrate into the government forces' defense lines.
In the meantime, the Syrian army continued to advance against the militants in Eastern Ghouta and took back control over al-Reihan and Abu Yasin Farms.
The Syrian army's artillery and missile units opened fire at the militant groups' positions near Tal Kurdi and Tal al-Swan, which claimed the lives of several terrorists.
