Official: ISIL-Affiliated Cell Busted in Pakistan
During a public briefing in Islamabad, the general
told NA Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics that terrorists
involved in more than ten incidents including attacks near Wagah Border
and ANP leader Bashir Bilour‘s have been arrested, the Daily Times
reported.
He said that an arms depot of terrorists was also
eliminated in Tarnol. The IB chief admitted that there were intelligence
reports regarding attacks on educational institutions but there was no
information that Bacha Khan University (BKU) will be targeted.
He further said that only the Punjab government is showing seriousness over the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism.
