Car Bomb Explosion in Damascus Leaves 4 Dead, 14 Injured

At least four people were killed and 14 injured in a car bomb blast on Tuesday in the northeast of the Syrian capital, a law enforcement source said.
"Initial data: four dead and 14 injured," the source told RIA Novosti.
The incident took place near the Syrian Interior Ministry officers' club in the Damascus suburb of Barza. A bomber attempted to enter the territory of the club, but was stopped at a checkpoint where an explosive device was subsequently detonated.
According to media reports, the Daesh militant group, outlawed in many countries including Russia, claimed responsibility for the attack.
On Sunday, Daesh extremists claimed they had carried out three blasts near a Shiite shrine in Sayyidah Zaynab, a suburb of Damascus, which left over 70 people killed and more than 110 injured.
