Moscow: Only Russia, Iran Legitimately Fight ISIL in Syria

Russia and Iran are the only two countries carrying out military operations against ISIL with any type of legitimacy, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said.
“It is impossible to talk about the legitimacy of anti-terrorist efforts in Syria of any other foreign country except for Russia and Iran. The formed US-led ‘anti-Daesh coalition’ doesn’t have this legitimacy because there’s no UN Security Council sanction for this or an invitation from the legitimate Syrian government,” Syromolotov told RIA Novosti in an interview.
