Benzema usually strikes first

Real Madrid again looked to Karim Benzema's impressive goalscoring form to win away from the Santiago Bernabéu, two months after their last La Liga win on the road. With Cristiano Ronaldo currently struggling for goals, it fell to the Frenchman to rescue Los Blancos. The striker has now scored eight goals in his last six games and, so far, he has scored in every game in 2016. That is every single fixture since their trip to Valencia on 3rd January.
Granada again fell victim to Benzema's hunger for goals. In fact, he has scored more goals against the Andalusian side than any other team in La Liga and has not failed to find the net against them since the second half of the 2012/13 campaign.
Benzema is having one of his best seasons in front of goal and his stats are incredible. He has scored 23 goals in 22 games in all competitions. However, there is one more significant stat. Many of those goals have opened the scoring for Real Madrid and he has now broken the deadlock eight times in the league and another two in the Champions League. Benzema simply loves striking first.
